Journal staffer, Nate Mathews, is moving to Chicago! To celebrate, he's hosting an ALL AGES PARTY AND FUNDRAISER...featuring ciphers, live painting by Culture District, art from Afrikatalyst Collective, DJ Underdog spinning soul, hip-hop, reggae, Afro-beat, and bongo flava, halal soul food, jerk chicken and rice and more! Performers include: Derrick Weston Brown, Slyce D, Sim1, Rasheed Copeland and Jonathan Tucker.

$10 gets you in all night + food plate and drink. When? Friday, August 21, 2009 from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. There will be no alcohol at this event. ALL PARTY PROCEEDS BENEFIT WORDS BEATS & LIFE, INC. Cash only please.
